Glory Given to the Son

You have made him little less than the angels,
and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him rule over the works of your hands,
putting all things under his feet.
Psalm 8:6-7

Thou didst make him for a little while lower than the angels, thou hast crowned him with glory and honor, putting everything in subjection under his feet. Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. As it is, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. (Heb 2:7-8)

But we see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for every one. For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering. (Heb 2:9-10).

Oneness with the Lord

"He who has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me; and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him." (Jn 14:21)

"If a man loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him,and we will come to him and make our home with him."- John 14:23

"Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man's foes will be those of his own household and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." (Mt. 10:34-37).

The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul (Dt. 13:3). What does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul (Dt. 12). "Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might (Dt. 6:5). For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give (Dt. 30:20).
