DUTY TO GOD

When you have done all that is commanded you, say, 
`We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'
Luke 17:10

Can a man be of benefit to God? Can even a wise man benefit him? (Jb 22:2)

God is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else (Acts 17:25). Doing your duty to God is by way of living a life with a perfectly good conscience before Him (Acts 23:1).

What does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul (Dt. 10:12). The fear of the Lord--that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding (Jb 28:28).

The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man (Eccl 12:13).
